Board Meeting
The School Board heard project updates from Chief Operations Office Brent Hoover in a pre-meeting work session. In the meeting, the Board awarded a new multi-year contract for student transportation services to Apple Bus Co. Trustees also accepted gifts of funds and books for various campuses.
Redesigned SAT
When Amarillo ISD high school students take the SAT this spring, they will face a redesigned version of the test many colleges require students have on file when submitting their applications. The updated SAT focuses on what students have learned in high school and tests them on the knowledge needed to succeed in college.
PDHS Supt Scholars
More than 935 Amarillo ISD high school students will be honored this week as Fall 2015 Superintendent’s Scholars. Dr. Dana West, AISD Superintendent, will lead assemblies at each high school to recognize the accomplishments of these students.
