Seen and Heard at the August School Board Meeting
The School Board adopted a resolution renaming the support center the Rod Schroder Education Support Center. The Board also adopted a tax rate of $1.189 per $100 property valuation, the same tax rate as the past two years. Board Resolves Naming of Rod Schroder ESC
In a special resolution made by the Amarillo ISD School Board of Trustees at their meeting on August 17, 2015, the district support center was renamed the Rod Schroder Education Support Center for the devoted service of its namesake. After 43 years as an educator, the last 15 of those as Superintendent of AISD, Schroder will retire at the end of August.  READ MORE...

All-Staff Convocation Inspires Year of Togetherness for District
Educators in Amarillo ISD joined together at Trinity Fellowship Church this week, kicking-off the start of the new school year at all-staff convocation. The speaker lineup included Superintendent-elect Dr. Dana West and 2015 National Teacher of the Year Shanna Peeples.
