Representatives from Xcel Energy presented a $224,212.19 rebate check to AISD for the District’s installation and use of energy efficient heating-ventilation-air conditioning (HVAC) equipment in Phase III of the school-bond funded HVAC renovation project. The Board also received the 2016 School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) report from Chief Financial Officer Pati Buchenau.

Some Amarillo ISD high school students were asked Friday to immediately return certain District-issued Chromebooks to school administrators after some safety concerns arose.
