November 3, 2016—Knowledge is power and a new student engagement campaign from the collective impact partnership No Limits No Excuses (NLNE) aims to put knowledge and power right in the hands of students, helping them plot their path to success beyond high school.

The Go: What’s Your Plan campaign from NLNE includes an app, website, and digital kiosks housed in all four Amarillo ISD high schools.  According to NLNE, when students download the app they can see career options from local employers. Additionally, NLNE says its video series #FindYourFuture takes viewers into the careers of local employees with certificates and degrees from Amarillo College or West Texas A&M University.

“These are resources that put college in students’ hands,” said Broc Carter, NLNE Program Officer. “We have worked to meet the needs of students, by reinforcing the messages they are receiving in AISD, Amarillo College and WTAMU.”

Students can download the app from any app store and use it to create their plan for success beyond high school. The app helps students explore various fields and career paths with career and personality quizzes and job profiles. From there, students can share their plan with their counselor, or on social media.

Download links, the career video series and other resources are available on the Go: What’s Your Plan website at goamarillo.org.

NLNE is a collective impact initiative of the Amarillo Area Foundation and 23 other partners with a goal of 10,000 more degrees by 2025.
