The purpose of the Texas Statewide Network of Assessment Professionals (T.S.N.A.P.) is to:

  • Develop a communication network to assist with implementation, improvement, and maintenance of the statewide testing program.
  • Share information about testing in educational settings.
  • Encourage the appropriate use of testing in educational settings.
  • Improve the applications of measurement to students and educational programs.
  • Encourage research in the area of elementary and secondary school testing and measurement.

The purpose of the Top of Texas Regional Area Testing Specials (T.O.T.R.A.T.S.) is to have a network of District Testing Coordinators from around Region 16 with which to discuss testing regulations and procedures, to offer advice about testing issues, and to disseminate information about state testing that is acquired from T.S.N.A.P., T.E.A., E.T.S., and Pearson.

The T.O.T.R.A.T.S. Regional Director is Crystal Glover 806-326-1016.

T.E.T.N.s are broadcast at Region 16's T.E.T.N. room.  You can also view them remotely by contacting the Region 16 site coordinator.  Minutes from each T.E.T.N. are emailed to group members after the T.E.T.N.s.  This group meets the morning of each T.S.N.A.P. T.E.T.N.  These T.E.T.N.s usually happen in October and February of each year.
