Amarillo High School Art

Amarillo High School Visual Arts provides a wide range of opportunities for any skill level
or area of visual art interest. Art I provides an overview and introduction to visual art, exploring a variety of techniques, media and genres. Advanced studies in Drawing, Painting, Ceramics and Jewelry provide the dedicated art student an opportunity to expand their creative skills and abilities. Amarillo High has a long-standing tradition of excellence and participation in various competitions and exhibitions:  

     • Visual Arts Scholastic Event - multiple winners at regional, area and state levels 
     • American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum Youth Art Show 
     • Tri-State Fair & Rodeo Creative Arts Competition
     • Texas Panhandle Student Art Show
     • Clarendon Fall Festival
