ASL RESOURCES
The internet contains a number of helpful American Sign Language (ASL)
references. Some of the selections are described below.
- Signserver -
Sign language dictionary. User enters one or more words and the corresponding
hand sign is displayed.
- A
Basic ASL Aid - Dictionary format. Application includes hand signs and
descriptions of how to form each sign.
- Disability
Connection - Library of shareware programs for the Macintosh. Includes
the Gallaudet TrueType font and ASL hypercard stack which teaches fingerspelling
using animated American Sign Language fonts and icons.
- Interactive Finger
Spelling and Braille Guide - Includes a dictionary of hand signs, large
format graphics of the ASL alphabet, and an ASL tutorial.
- Claris Works
User Group Bit Map Fonts - Includes bitmapped, PostScript, and TrueType
fonts. The PostScript and TrueType fonts are available for both Macintosh
and Windows users. The bitmapped fonts are only available for the Macintosh.
ASL fingerspeller font available.
- American
Sign Language - Provides several different TrueType and bitmapped
ASL finger fonts for Macintosh and PC.
