Janet graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  She completed her master's degree at the University of Northern Colorado in learning disabilities.  Janet taught school in Colorado Springs before coming to Texas, and throughout her teaching career she has taught both elementary and middle school students. After she completed her certification for counseling, she began her career as a counselor.  She had been a counselor in middle school and two different high schools before coming to North Heights as a counselor.  Janet has thoroughly enjoyed being at North Heights where students are always the priority.  Having a small campus allows the staff to know students on an individual basis and gives the staff the opportunity to impact students in a positive manner.
