Our Phoenix

The Phoenix was chosen by the North Heights student body as the unofficial mascot for their school.  They felt that it was the best representation of the spirit of North Heights Alternative School.

The artist responsible for our Phoenix is former student Melinna Pennington.  You will find our Phoenix not only on our web page but also in a mural on our cafeteria wall. The 1999-2000 Service Learning students painted the mural as a beautification project for North Heights.

North Heights Colors

The colors used on our web page reflect the colors of the four high schools we serve.

Amarillo High: gold and black

Caprock High: orange and white 

Tascosa High:  red and black

Palo Duro High: blue and white
