¡Haga clic aquí para español!

As of April 13th, 2020, Amarillo ISD is moving the majority of it’s elementary grades 2 through 5 curriculum to Google Classroom, which is one of our primary online curriculum delivery systems. If your child has already been working in Google Classroom, Seesaw, Dojo, or any other online learning system with their teacher, they will continue to work in that current learning system. If your child has not been working online with their teacher, they will login to Google Classroom and ‘join’ a Classroom. If a student has been using Google Classroom, they should check to be sure there are no other Google Classrooms they need to ‘Join’.

Directions to access a student’s Google Classroom.

First, be sure to use Google Chrome as your browser. Google Classroom works best with Google Chrome browser.

Your child can access their Google Classroom(s) by going to https://www.google.com.

Once on the page, click the ‘Sign in’ button in the upper right part of the screen.

On the login page, your child will use their AISD Google username (studentid@amaisd.net) and password.

If your child does not know their username and/or password, you can contact your child’s teacher, campus, or call our Digital Learning Help Desk at 326-1100.

Once signed in to Google, go to the upper right portion of the screen and click on the ‘waffle’.

After clicking on the ‘waffle’ select Classroom from the application choices.

The first time a student goes into Classroom, they may need to verify their information.

If a student has already been in Google Classroom, this step will be skipped.

Click ‘Continue’

Pick your role. Be sure to select “I’M A STUDENT”

Once in Google Classroom, there will be at least one, maybe more, class for your student to ‘join’. Click on the ‘Join’ button to join the Google Classroom and begin the online learning experience.
