In today’s update, AISD announces changes to student curbside meal distribution as well as new locations for WiFi access for students. 
As reports of possible coronavirus cases continue to spread across the country and get closer to our community, Amarillo ISD has taken additional steps to prevent the spread of communicable diseases in our schools.

Board President Robin Malone started the meeting by outlining social distancing guidelines and said only the critical items to keep the District moving forward would be discussed or acted upon at this meeting.

Amarillo ISD, in partnership with the Panhandle Restaurant Association, is aiming to get local families talking around the dinner table, passing out thousands of conversation starter cards to restaurants in the community.  
Amarillo ISD will partner with Amarillo College and Texas Tech University on a 2 + 1 teacher certification program that will put additional teachers in AISD classrooms as soon as the 2021-2022 school year. 
DialCare Mental Wellness
A student mental wellness program that connects teens to counselors via phone or video chat for mental and behavioral health appointments is now available to all AISD secondary students.
