class of 2007

       Congratulations! You are embarking on one of the most memorable years of your lifetime. As the new year begins, it is important to inform you of various guidelines and expectations so that the events that your high school years will be the best!

       First, it is important to note that graduation ceremonies are a privilege and not a right. Therefore, any incidents of inappropriate conduct throughout the school year could have an impact on eligibility to participate in the graduation ceremony. Participation in the ceremony is limited to those who have completed all graduation requirements, including completion of the proper number of credits and passing all sections of TAKS. Participation in the end of the year ceremonies is totally optional, but all seniors are urged to attend in order to receive the honor and recognition that has been earned throughout the years.

Please take careful note of the following guidelines:

       1. All students choosing to participate in the graduation ceremony must pay $60 senior fee during the weeks of August 1st through December 21st, 2006. Fees will be paid to Ms. Nance, assistant Principal/FLEX Coordinator. The senior fee may be paid from January to April 28th, 2007, but the price will then be $100.

       2. This form must be read and the bottom filled out and returned to Mrs. Ivy.

       3. The Senior Information Sheet must be completed and promptly returned to your senior counselor.

       4. Attendance at graduation rehearsal is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY in order to participate in the ceremony.

       5. Palo Duro High School IDs or another form of photo ID must be shown in order to pick up cap and gowns. If you want someone to pick up your cap & gown for you, they must have a note signed by you and their photo ID to get it.

       6. Proper attire must be worn in order to participate in the rehearsal and ceremony. Failure to adhere to the guidelines will jeopardize your eligibility to march. Attire for the rehearsal must adhere to the school dress code. General requirements for the attire are as follows:
