Students who are classified as seniors at the beginning of the school year are exempt from taking semester/final exams in each course in which they:

1. have at least an 85 average for that semester

2. have an 85 average in the third or sixth six weeks

3. have not been absent more than three times during the semester and

4. have no unexcused absences during the semester

      Students taking dual credit courses will take final exams in accordance with course guidelines established between AISD and the appropriate college department.

     All students in grades nine, ten, and eleven are required to take semester exams.

     Senior students who enroll in a District high school during their senior year are exempt from taking final exams on the same basis as the group with whom they will graduate.
