September 29, 2025 – Ten Amarillo ISD scholars earned Commended honors from The National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Those students are:

National Merit Commended scholars placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Earlier this month, two Amarillo High seniors, Finn Archer and Quan Nguyen, were named National Merit Semifinalists and will continue in the competition for scholarships.
