Students participating in Diplomas in Certificates come from varied backgrounds, but all have in common the desire to succeed in school so their futures are filled with opportunity.
High School Equivalency Diploma
A High School Equivalency Diploma allows students who could not complete high school a means to complete an educational certificate. This academic certificate will open opportunities for community colleges, advanced job placement, and technical/vocational training. Content areas covered by the testing series include reading/writing, mathematics, science and social studies. Students who meet academic readiness levels are encouraged to enroll online for testing at our center located at North Heights Alternative School, 607 N. Hughes. Those students requiring remediation may receive help at their home campus or at Amarillo College.
