AISD Board Proclamation Honors National Principals Month

October 20, 2025 – The Amarillo Independent School District Board of Trustees signed a proclamation in acknowledgement and appreciation of National Principals Month, extending its deepest gratitude to every principal in our district for their continued leadership in building strong schools, inspiring educators, and shaping a brighter future for every student. Proclamation in Acknowledgement and Appreciation of National Principals Month
WHEREAS, principals serve as the cornerstone of our schools, providing leadership that shapes the academic success and overall well-being of students and staff; and
WHEREAS, strong principals cultivate safe, supportive, and innovative learning environments that allow students and teachers to thrive; and
WHEREAS, October is recognized across the nation as National Principals Month, a collaboration among the American Federation of School Administrators, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals; and
WHEREAS, The Amarillo Independent School District joins this observance to express heartfelt appreciation to our campus principals for their outstanding leadership, vision, and daily commitment to advancing educational excellence; and
WHEREAS, Amarillo Independent School District principals serve not only as administrators but as mentors, motivators, and champions for students, guiding their campuses with integrity, compassion, and dedication to fulfilling the District's mission of graduating every student prepared for life and success beyond high school; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Amarillo Independent School District hereby proclaims October 2025 as National Principals Month in Amarillo ISD and encourages all members of the community to join in celebrating and recognizing the invaluable contributions of our principals; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Amarillo Independent School District extends its deepest gratitude to every principal in our district for their continued leadership in building strong schools, inspiring educators, and shaping a brighter future for every student.
