January 22, 2026 – Whenever winter weather is in the forecast, we’re actively communicating with local forecasters and maintenance crews are set to prep our campuses. Our official snow patrol is on standby to assess road and campus conditions at the earliest hours, consult with the National Weather Service for precise forecast information, and then make decisions for the school day. Here’s what our notification system looks like.

AISD’s Winter Weather 1,2,3:

1. We make the call for AISD by 6 a.m. If you don’t hear from us by 6 a.m., you’ll know there are no changes to the school day.
