May 11, 2026 – 1,385 Amarillo ISD students got a warm congratulations from Superintendent Dr. Deidre Parish and a certificate commemorating their achievement as Superintendent’s Scholars. Ceremonies honoring fall semester scholars happen all this week at each of our four high schools. To achieve this recognition, students excel academically. Superintendent’s Scholars maintain a 95 average in regular courses and at least a 90 in AP and Pre-AP courses. Nearly 150 of the scholars honored this week are graduating seniors who have earned Superintendent Scholar status all eight semesters of their high school careers!
