Extended School Day
The Extended School Day Program serves 18 elementary campuses in AISD, providing students with a safe, fun, and structured environment. ESD provides a snack for students daily, homework support, and TEKS-based enrichment while encouraging and supporting social and academic development.
In order to be eligible for the Extended School Day Program, your child must be enrolled at one of the 18 AISD campuses where the program is housed. Please refer to the bottom of the page for a list of schools participating in the ESD program.
Extended School Day Hours
Monday through Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. on all days that AISD students are in session.
Rates and Fees
ESD tuition is NOT prorated based on student attendance but is a set yearly rate split evenly between 10 months. Monthly tuition for August – May will remain the same price each month. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and late after the 5th.
- $200 per month, $100 per month for free and reduced lunch students
- Additional $25 charge for Pre-K & Kindergarten students
- $50 per student, non-refundable registration fee due at the time of application
The $50 application fee is required in order for your application to be complete. This fee must be paid in order for your child to be enrolled OR placed on the waitlist. Applications submitted without the $50 fee will remain in limbo until the fee is paid.
How Can I Apply?

Select your campus: Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on your desired campus. This will open Brightwheel in a new window.
Step 2
Log in or Sign up:
- New to Brightwheel? Click "Create an Account."
- Already have an account? Please use your existing login. Do not create a new account, as this will create duplicate profiles in our system.
Step 3
Complete the application: Fill out the form and submit.
Step 4
Repeat for siblings: If you are applying for multiple children, you will need to repeat this process for each child individually.
Step 5
Pay the application fee: To be considered for enrollment or the waitlist, a $50 non-refundable fee is required for each child.
- How to pay: Log into the Brightwheel app, go to "Make a Payment," and manually enter the $50 amount.
- Need an invoice instead? If you run into issues paying manually, we can post the invoice to your account. Because we add these manually, please allow up to 24 hours for the fee to appear on your account.
Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis and campus availability. To be considered for enrollment or the waitlist, you must submit an application and a $50 non-refundable fee per child. Once a campus reaches capacity, students will be placed on a waitlist and enrolled as space becomes available. Applications remain open all year, and the ESD office will follow up with a status update within 2 business days of your submission.
How Can I Make Payments?
Once you’ve completed the application, please visit your mobile device’s app store to download the “Brightwheel” App. The app is where you will access all Extended School Day (ESD) information including sign in and out procedures, payments and contact information.

Enrollment will be limited based on availability. Submitting an application does not guarantee a position in ESD.
