Career & Technical Education (CTE)

Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Roughly 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation. The AISD CTE department prepares students for high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand careers through cultivating personal passion and active learning. In fact, there are approximately 9,000 students enrolled in over 100 CTE courses. The U.S. high school graduation rate for CTE concentrators is about 90 percent - 15 percentage points higher than the national average.
