May 6, 2022 – Amarillo ISD voters have a final opportunity to make their voice heard in the school bond election on Saturday, May 7. The projects in the bond package are on the ballot as four separate propositions.
Proposition A ($180.6 million): Includes the replacement of Austin Middle school, safety and security items, fine arts additions and renovations as well as athletics improvements
Proposition B ($19 million): Includes renovations to Dick Bivins Stadium, such as reconstructing the spectator stands and expanding the track to 8 lanes to meet UIL hosting guidelines
Proposition C ($38.3 million): Includes a new district natatorium to provide a facility for student swim teams
Proposition D ($48 million): Includes new multi-purpose indoor activity facilities at each of the four traditional high schools to serve fine arts, athletics programs, PE and more
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the following locations:
