May 5, 2025 – A girls' relay team from Amarillo High left the UIL State Track & Field meet with a 6th place finish and a Texas Panhandle record. Here’s a look at how AISD athletes finished:

Boys:

110 Hurdles – Kyron Brown (Palo Duro) - 8th

Shot Put – Aaron Phares (Tascosa) - 7th

High Jump – Chester Creery (Tascosa) - 7th

Discus – Kenneth Osteen (Amarillo High) - 8th

Wheelchair 100 – Triston West (Caprock) 4th

Wheelchair 400 – Triston West (Caprock) 4th

Girls:

800 Relay – Amarillo High -6th (all-time Tx Panhandle record)

300 Hurdles – Willow Cornell (Amarillo High) - 7th

1600 Relay – Amarillo High - 7th (School record)

Shot Put – Ava Rahlfs (Amarillo High) - 8th

Discus – Maggie Marhefka (Tascosa) - 4th

800 – Sierra Cornell (Amarillo) - 7th
