Meals For Students

With the help of our school lunch partner, Chartwells, Amarillo ISD is providing meals for our students during the time school campuses are closed. Meals are offered for any child age 18 or younger. All meals are free of charge. In order to follow social distancing and group gathering restrictions, meal service will be offered in a "curbside/drive-up" method.

The locations below are serving lunch, along with breakfast for the next day, Monday through Friday. One breakfast and one lunch per child will be provided each day. Children do not have to be present in the car with their parents; however we ask that the parent provide some kind of documentation from the school showing their child/children attend an AISD school.

Free Student Meal Service Includes Weekend Meals
Beginning Friday, April 17, when families report to one of AISD’s 16 schools serving curbside meals, they will receive three lunches and three breakfasts per student. Friday’s meal service will include breakfast for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, as well as lunch for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Families who participate in the Snack Pak 4 Kids program will also receive their weekend Snack Paks.

Evening Meal Service: In addition, the High Plains Food Bank will reinforce the Kids Café model in our community to make evening meals available. Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, Kids Cafe Staff will be in the parking lot areas of the following campuses/locations at 3:15 pm for approximately 30 minutes. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Food will be provided in a to-go container and a child must be present to receive the meal.

Comidas Para Estudiantes

Con la ayuda de nuestros compañeros de almuerzo escolar, Chartwells, Amarillo ISD estará proporcionando comidas a nuestros estudiantes mientras nuestras escuelas permanezcan cerradas. Se ofrecen comidas para cualquier niño de 18 años o menos. Todas las comidas son gratuitas. Para cumplir con las restricciones de distanciamiento social y reunión grupal, el servicio de comidas se ofrecerá en un método de “curbside/drive-up” o casetas, en cual la comida se le entregará a las familias sin tener que salirse de su vehículo.

Los siguientes lugares estarán sirviendo almuerzo y a la misma vez el desayuno para el día siguiente, de lunes a viernes. Se proporcionará un desayuno y un almuerzo por niño cada día. Los niños no tienen que estar presentes en el automóvil con sus padres; sin embargo, le pedimos a los padres que proporcionen cualquier tipo de documentación de la escuela que demuestre que sus hijos asisten a una escuela de AISD.

Servicio gratuito de comidas para estudiantes que incluye comidas de fin de semana.
A partir del viernes 17 de abril, cuando las familias se presenten en una de las 16 escuelas de AISD que sirven comidas en la acera, recibirán tres almuerzos y tres desayunos por estudiante. El servicio de comidas del viernes incluirá desayunos los sábados, domingos y lunes, así como almuerzos los viernes, sábados y domingos. Las familias que participan en el programa Snack Pak 4 Kids también recibirán sus Snack Paks de fin de semana.

Servicio De Comidas Nocturnas: Adicionalmente, el High Plains Food Bank (Baco de Comida) adoptara el modelo de Kids Café (Café de Niños) en nuestra comunidad. A partir del lunes 23 de marzo de 2020, el personal de Kids Cafe estará en las áreas de estacionamiento en las siguientes escuelas/ubicaciones a las 3:15 pm durante aproximadamente 30 minutos. La comida se distribuirá por orden de llegada. La comida se proporcionará en un contenido para llevar, el niño/a debe estar presente para recibir la comida.
